Should a few of these these around at home for WTSF  , , you cabn use then in any room in the house and with a good bag very sanitary. Tho they will reek thru regular garbage bags. Never know when your holed up for a few days.

I use it for campng so I dont have to hassle with a black water dump station. and at the jobsite I use one instead of those deplorable diseaseridden bluerooms. Ever use a blue room on a 105 degree day, very unpleasant. I carry one in my truck , restrooms at truckstops etc are dirty.

And backcountry trips the days of squatting are over. A cup of joe a good book and the tall oines above? Oh ya. It weighs about a pound.

There about 10 bu$ks .

We don't need a toilet. The pile of clothes in the hallway has worked fine for us for years and it will continue to work.

It's funny that you post that one. My sisters father-in-law bought a home that the previous owner left a few antiques when they sold the place.

One of the antiques was literally a throne type seat with a hole cut in the seat. NO lid, just a hole. There was a ceramic bowl underneath the seat that you could empty by opening a door in the side of the box under the chair.

I sat on it, just for 'fitment' purposes. Pretty comfy. Even had a throne style highback. Someone at one point had hand painted a vine theme on the back and sides.

Gave the name 'throne' a whole new meaning...

Just as an FYI, as long as you have a 5 gallon plastic bucket, a large amount of leaf sized trash bags and a lid. Take the bucket, insert a trash bag with the bottom of the bag all the way down, then place the lid on top. Yeah, note quite as easy as yours, but cheap, cheap, cheap. A new lid is what $5? Bags are less than $5 per twenty. Plastic buckets. I get them free all the time.

What do you do with the bags after you have used them? Aren't there laws about putting that shite in the trash?

In theory it should make good compost, though not everyone's standard of health and hygeine is equal so out of concern for disease I wouldn't exactly be accepting donations.

A freshly pumped septic tank gives you a couple years to consider the question carefully.

I'm kind of suprised its tradeable goods, I would have guessed laws meant to prevent cholera or similar would be a barrier. Then again I'm sure they process it in some manner that renders it less hazardous. I remember watching the guys who came and pumped out my septic tank and the casual manner they went about their, ahem, business. Sure, I paid them good but I'd have been awfully concerned about getting the heebeejeebies from somebody else's waste. They seemed to think the bacteria in the tank took care of the job of sterilization.

Actually, another use occured to me... I believe if you bury this stuff for a while it will eventually yield saltpeter and therefore become useful in the production of blackpowder which is handy stuff to have after the collapse of all civilization. I'm trying to remember, is it lye they used to add to help the process along?

Yes , Your on to something . I cant recall it tho.

The cities and/or other companies cook it, at high temp and kill all the Hepatitus and diseases,

But its One of those deals , kinda like floride , theres so much of it as an afterproduct the price for producers is lowest , but still at a cost, to move it.

But floride toothepaste? :dontknow:

This photo is of the old, retired outhouse built back in the thirties. I don't seem to have a photo of the new improved one. Its not much fancier, trust me. For a longterm solution to the bathroom problem in an emergency its hard to beat the way the oldtimers did it !

Ok, why two holes? Did you ever double team the old girl?

The deal was: In alaska hunting guideing , I built an outhouse with one toilet( hole) and after a while a pyramid starting building if ya know what I mean and I had to bust it down. ugly

I think they made 2 seats for room and such underneath.

Though it wasnt deep because permafrost was a problem and flooding .
